Marcus finally lost his composure. “I was tired.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His voice grew louder. “I was fed up with all the arguments, the neighbors’ comments, wondering what people would think when they saw me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There you have it,” Andrew said quietly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a long while, she picked up her suitcase and, without saying anything else, went upstairs. The sound of drawers opening and closing echoed throughout the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About twenty minutes later, Marcus came downstairs with his full suitcase. He stopped by the front door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m sorry”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the first time he had apologized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was also six years late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
